Professional Experience (Ministry)

Second Unitarian Church, Omaha, NE, 2014-present. Interim Minister. Working with this congregation of 106 members to make progress with their goals and the tasks of interim ministry. Also, serving as their minister in all of the usual tasks of ministry: worship, preaching, pastoral counseling and visits, teaching, attending committee meetings, advising and co-leading with the Board of Trustees.

Northshore UU Church, Danvers, MA, 2008-2014. Settled Minister.

UU Metro Atlanta North, Roswell, GA, 2007.  Interim Minister. Perform all functions of ministry and act as consultant to the congregation in preparing to call a settled minister.  Using appreciative inquiry I led congregants to get a clearer sense of their history and how it affects their then current behavior.  Held healing circles to work on grief related to loss of their former minister and acceptance of change.

UU Congregation of Greenville, NC, 2006-2007. Interim Minister. Perform all functions of ministry and act as guide in resolving conflicts, energizing a burned out group of volunteers, and increase the effectiveness of the staff. This congregation called a settled minister and became quite excited about their present and future.

Jewish Family Services of the Metrowest, Framingham, MA, 2005-2006. Intern Minister. Recruit and lead spiritual group for the elder residents of Hastings House.

First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, Framingham, MA, Summer 2005. Summer Minister. Preach and provide support worship services. Provide pastoral care and ceremonial support to parishioners.

First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, Framingham, MA, 2004-2005. Intern Minister. Perform full functions of parish minister including: preaching, teaching, adult religious education, pastoral counseling, hospital visits, home visits, and attendance at denominational meetings. Because of my daughter and a couple of other special needs teens at the church, my preaching catalyzed the creation of a committee which successfully helps special needs children achieve of sense of belonging in the church community. This group still exists eight years later.

Horizon Unitarian Universalist Church, Carrollton, TX, 2002-2003. Religious Education Assistant. and volunteer Youth Advisor, Religious Education teacher, and Co-Chair on Social Action Committee.

Pioneered a successful, continuing mentoring program for teenaged young women in our church community.

Litton Computer Services, Woodland Hills, CA. 1985-1997, Manager of Marketing, Sales and Customer Support. Led projects and developed effective project leaders, caring customer support representatives, and supported the sales effort for this outsourcing service provider.
